For Neubrandenburg, for our region, for our environment As a regional energy supplier, we are deeply rooted locally. For us, the cooperation with Plant for Future is a further contribution to local environmental and climate protection. We are convinced by the approach of simultaneously protecting the Amazon rainforest as the green lung of the world and thus preserving existing ecosystems. As Neubrandenburger Stadtwerke, we will therefore be donating one cent for every kilowatt hour consumed from our natural electricity products over the course of 2023.
Our company
We are the heart. Neubrandenburger Stadtwerke supplies people in the four-gate city and the surrounding area with drinking water, electricity, district heating and natural gas as well as television, radio, telephone and internet. We take care of public transportation and wastewater disposal, operate an indoor swimming pool and a crematorium. As a regional supply and disposal company and service provider in the public sector, we are one of the most important associated companies of the city of Neubrandenburg. The sustainable development of our company is of great importance to us.
“Green” heat
We are investing massively in the transformation of the district heating supply. Our long-term goal is to move away from dependence on fossil fuels and towards a sustainable “green” supply of heat for the city. In line with the company’s own climate protection and energy policy, we have been driving forward the conversion to “green district heating” for several years now. In 2021, our company commissioned a short-term heat storage facility that makes surplus heat usable. This year, we are implementing the Power to Heat plant project.
Social commitment
For many years, we have been committed to the people in the Neubrandenburg region and a city worth living in. We support numerous events and projects in the fields of sport, culture, education, music and social
Initiatives. With our nb-Crowd, we offer people in the region a platform for crowdfunding projects. We supervise and support school sponsor classes and sponsor many sports clubs in our city.
